Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, and U2’s Adam Clayton are selling extensive collections of instruments and memorabilia in Julien’s “Played, Worn, & Torn” charity auction on November 20-21 in Nashville, with proceeds benefiting MusiCares and other charities. Hammett’s collection includes over 150 items such as a 1985 Gibson Michael Schenker Flying V and custom ESP guitars used on tour, while Lee offers notable pieces like a signed black safe linked to the famous theft of his private videotape with Pamela Anderson, a 1995 Gucci jacket, and a signed Schecter electric baritone guitar. Clayton’s auction includes rare Fender Jazz Basses from the 1960s-70s and valuable bass guitars estimated up to $60,000. Additional items connected to legendary artists like the late Ace Frehley, Keith Richards, The Beatles, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, and B.B.
